About the Artist

Michael Van Buskirk has pursued photography for over fifty years and is based in Portland, Oregon. He explores all photographic media. Pinhole, subminiature and other eclectic film processes hold particular fascination. The limitations of these cameras, uncompromised by aberrant lenses or electronic technology, free the mind to explore the most direct relationship between the eye and the subject. The original recording in the camera provides a compositional core to the final digitally enhanced image.

All images are printed with archival paper and ink.
